Matters Arising: Members commented on the improved space that we now have in Burghill Hall.

Chairman's Report:
I extend a warm welcome to old and new members to our AGM.
I am pleased to report that the club has had a very successful year. The permanent move to our new venue has attracted more members, with Ringcraft nights being exceptionally well attended and Match nights regularly drawing in good entries. It was disappointing that we had to cancel our Super Match in December due to bad weather making roads impassable in some areas, it was rearranged in January instead of a normal Match, although not having the usual festive atmosphere it was an enjoyable evening for members and their dogs, including Mulled Wine prepared and served by Mary and a delicious Buffet after judging, to finish the evening.
My grateful thanks to the Officers, Committee and Trainers for their time and efforts in making the club a success, to David Piears for auditing the accounts, Annette Latham-Jackson for continuing to update our website and to our valued members for their continues support. I would like to extend my thanks to Noz Barrett for her contributions to the club over the years, especially looking after the membership. Noz is resigning from the committee and I wish her well for the future.
I have decided, after 10 years with the club, to stand down as Chairperson and from the committee. I feel it is now time to hand over the reigns to someone else. I have enjoyed working with the committee, especially my time in the chair. However, I will continue to be part of the training team and offer any help to my successor when needed.
With the support of the committee I have brought the club forward to the best of my ability and I am confident this will continue well into the future.
Finally, I wish you all well for the coming year, good luck whatever you may be planning and most importantly enjoy your precious dogs.

Margaret Harkin
(Chairman)

Secretary's Report: Well, we have now been at Burghill hall for a year and I think you will all agree that it has been a very successful one.
Burghill has given us much more floor space to allow all dogs, large and small to complete a triangle comfortably and, if necessary, split the hall into two training areas.
Our Caretaker, Ron has been extremely supportive of the club and on behalf of everyone I would like to give him our thanks for all he has done for us.
I would like to give a warm welcome to all new members that have joined us during the last 12 months and hope you and your dogs are enjoying your time with us.
If you have any ideas or suggestions with regard to your training please pass your thoughts on to a committee member and we will do our best to help.
Our Matches continue to be well attended and enjoyed by Judges and members alike.
We have some lovely dogs at club and members continuing successful show results reflect this.
I would like to thank the the committee for their continued support and hard work in keeping the club running so smoothly.
Thank you to all members for continuing to support the club and I wish you all lots of success with your showing for 2018.
Mrs. J. Shepherd

Message from Jeanette Shepherd -  Secretary

Dear Members,

As some of you may already be aware, Stretton Sugwas Village Hall is going to be refurbished next year (2017) between the months of March and end of August.
In order to carry out this work the Hall will have to be closed for about 6 months.

Upon this information the committee immediately started to look for a suitable premises that would accommodate our club for this period of time.
I am very pleased to be able to tell you that we have secured Burghill Village Hall, which is also known as the Simpson Hall.

It is close to Burghill Golf Club and is about 7 minutes / 4 miles drive away from Stretton Sugwas Village Hall. If you wish to see where it is situated the postcode is HR47RW and of course you can look at their website.
We hope you will all agree that this is a suitable venue for us and that you, and your dogs, will continue to enjoy your training with us at Burghill during this time.

The Hall is a lovely size, just right for getting you all to do a good ''triangle '', with all the facilities we need.

Training nights, Start times, Matches etc, will all continue as usual.

We will confirm final details nearer to March but if you have any questions, in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Anthony Brooks.(Chairman)

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Christmas and Good New Year with lots of luck with your dogs for 2017.

Regards
Jeanette Shepherd
Secretary - Breinton Ringcraft Society

Webmaster needed for Website.

Malcolm Jeffries has decided to handover web duties now that the website is established , and so the Club is looking for a Webmaster.

In practical terms the tasks are not difficult, but take about 3 - 4 hours monthly after our Match Night updates and the occasional times we have need for other notifications. Malcolm will give all the help he can to make the transition as simple as possible. Please contact Anthony Brooks if you are interested.

Trainers for Ringcraft Nights.

We are always looking for volunteers to go over the dogs on Ringcraft Training nights , in order to provide the widest experiences for the dogs.

Additionally you will learn a great deal going over dogs and develop a wider understanding of more breeds.

We can always provide a guide, should you be lacking a little confidence.

Please speak to Anthony Brooks if you are interested and willing to help out.

Chairman’s Report (tabled)
I would firstly like to thank all the members for making 2014 a successful year for Breinton Ringcraft Society.  Ringcraft training nights have been very well attended of late and Match Nights are drawing in good entries, culminating in a super Dog of the Year Match in December.  The judges were very impressed with the quality of the exhibits and also commented favourably about the handling of the dogs.  Thank you to the judges, who on some occasions, have travelled considerable distances.

Since the website was set up a year ago in April 2014, it has proved to be very popular and has had over 4500 hits, raising the profile of the club.  A huge thank you to Malcolm Jeffries for setting up the website and regularly updating information and uploading Match Night photos and results.

I wish to thank all of the committee for their time and efforts throughout the year and to our members for supporting the club in many different ways.  Sadly, Lorraine has decided to retire as Treasurer and committee member.  Thank you Lorraine for all the work you have done for the Society.  We value all the work you have carried out and you will be a difficult act to follow!

At a recent committee meeting it was decided that matches will now commence at 7.30 p.m. entries will be taken from 7 p.m. so please book your dogs in early so that judging can start promptly at 7.30 p.m.  Training nights will start at 7.30 p.m. until 8.45 p.m.  These new times will start from the next Match on the 20th May.

I will now pass on the Officers, who will give their individual reports.  Good Luck for 2015
Anthony Brooks (Chairman)

Secretary’s Report (tabled)
Firstly I would like to thank all the committee for all their hard work and support over the last 12 months.
I would also like to thank all our club members for their continuing support to the club on training and match nights.

A warm welcome to all our new members who have joined us during the past year and I hope that they enjoy their time with us.

Thankfully, we have not had any severe weather which has enabled us to continue training classes during the winter months.
Our matches seem to be going from strength to strength with an increasing number of dogs attending. The matches are light hearted, friendly occasions and I have had numerous compliments from our judges with regard to the quality of dogs we have attending club and how welcoming you all are.

As I write these notes, I am sorry to learn that Lorraine is stepping down as our club Treasurer.  Lorraine has given her time to the club for a number of years and I am sure the committee will join with me in expressing our thanks to her for all she has done in keeping the club accounts in order.
Lorraine you will be missed but we hope we will continue to see you, when you are able, at training nights and matches.

I look forward to the next twelve months with the committee and wish you and all our members good luck for 2015.

Jeanette Shepherd (Secretary)

We have had a good year. Club has plenty of funds and we have purchased new mats and a table recently.  I feel it is my time to step down and someone else to take over.  I have served as Treasurer for many years and been on the committee much longer, so I would like to take a break from that also.

My thanks to Mary for her help and to David Piears for his work with our accounts.
